About the Summer Arts & Media Camp

***Registration opens Monday, Dec. 5***

For Campers Age 6 Through 15
The Summer Arts & Media Camp at Columbia College Chicago is a unique and urban camp program for young creatives that invites exploration in the fine, performing, and media arts in an integrated and safe ensemble environment, that features small class-sizes and multiple opportunities for collaboration. Campers will be a part of the college's creative community, and learn from a diverse variety of experienced teachers and counselors, using state-of-the-art equipment in our campus classrooms, theaters, galleries, and workshops.

Through our camp, these members of the Columbia College Chicago community gain confidence, make friends, and immerse themselves in creativity. All of this, in a safe and exciting environment, located in the South Loop neighborhood.

Camp Schedule & Structure
Session One: June 19-July 14
Session Two July 17-August 11

Summer Arts & Media Camp classes are arranged into small classes limited to 12 students each, arranged by ages. Each group is assigned a counselor, who will remain with campers for the duration of the day.

Each group has a “core class” that they attend each day at the beginning of the day. Columbia College Chicago's camp program staff selects core groups to ensure alignment with age-appropriate learning outcomes.

Our counselors and teachers are select students, alumni, and working artists from the Columbia College community and beyond. Your camper will remain with an assigned trio of counselors all day, attending classes, field trips, outdoor lunch in Grant Park, and guest artist workshops. Counselors assist teachers with classroom curriculum and activities while attending to your child’s special talents and interests.

Program cost is $1,700 for each 4-week session. An optional After Camp extension is $250 for each 4-week session, or $15 per day.
