Where are you located?

The Summer Arts and Media Camp is located in the Columbia College building at 623 S. Wabash Ave., (between Harrison & Balbo). Our home base is located on the first floor in the Hokin Gallery, on the north side of the building. Camp classes take place throughout the building.

What happens in Extended Care?

After Camp is our extended care program that runs daily, Monday through Friday, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. We provide a light snack and age-appropriate activities in a safe, supervised space.

How are the camp groups structured?

Children are divided into groups primarily based on age or grade level. Each group has no more than 12 campers and is assigned one full-time counselor. We do not take friend requests for groups, and all camp groups remain together during their morning classes. The entire camp is together for Morning Meeting, Lunch, and other community activities.

Who teaches the camp?

All camp faculty are experienced educators and teaching artists who are currently active in their field of expertise. All teachers, counselors, and staff are subjected to full background checks and have been vetted by Columbia College's Office of Continuing and Community Education.
